It is argued that people should have the right to keep all their income for savings instead of paying taxes. Despite the acknowledged merits of this statement, I completely disagree with this idea.
There are many compelling reasons why workers want to keep their earnings for themselves. First and foremost, using money to satisfy the pay for living. While the cost of living in many big cities is increasing dramatically annually, people need to ensure the financial resources to meet these requirements. If they have to distribute the money for a variety of purposes including taxation, they would get into trouble with financial management. Furthermore, they want to save for the future, so employees will store up their salaries to accumulate greater long-term property for old age.
Despite the aforementioned benefits, I would contend that people should be more responsible for devoting their budget to taxation. Firstly, regarding the social aspect, the administration needs tax money to solve the citizen’s demands, thus enhancing living qualities. Some objectives that the taxes are used such as maintaining social welfare, building public constructions, paying pensions, or helping students enjoy free education, etc. All of which contribute to the overall well-being and satisfaction of citizens. Secondly, contributing to the tax system is a collective way to develop a country, the government can reduce the financial burdens for domestic affairs. In addition, it can allocate tax revenue to intensify military power to protect itself.
In conclusion, while there are justifications for keeping earnings for personal purposes or asset accumulation, I would contend that individuals should not be selfish and should contribute part of their income to paying taxes.
