Obesity is one of the major health issues nowadays, so while trying to solve what causes this sort of a problem, people frequently consider fast food companies as the reason which leads to the obesity.
On the one hand, this might be a reasonable explanation, because fast food restaurants are spreading around the world quickly and most of the cities dwelllers can’t imagine their lives without consuming burgers or pizza. When life gets so buzzing, people don’t have enough time to cook. Grabbing a snack on the way to work or university becomes necessity. Fast food companies use this in their marketing strategies, promoting their products as something that helps to stop wasting time on preparing meal at home. Moreover, some of the restaurants provide the idea that their food is totally natural and do not contain any food additives, so customers would undoubtedly choose them.
On the other hand, blaming only fast food companies is incorrect. All the adult individuals are responsible for their own health state. As I mentioned earlier, some reatsurants trick customers by putting wrong ideas into the social media, but every conscious and acknowledged adult decide wether they should consume it or not. Furthermore, obesity is a long term health problem which doesn’t occur in a moment, so it’s essential to look after one’s health and try to prevent it. Although there are a lot of reasons why a person might gain weight, one of the most disturbing is psychological factor because it’s complicated for people to understand it as we can’t measure it.
To conclude, there is no definite explanation why obesity spreads among population. There are different factors that must be considered, such as: fast food restaurants promotion, buzy life and psychological disorders.
