Band 4+: Some say that secondary school should spend less time on traditional subjects such as history and should spend more time on communication skills and business courses. To what extent do you agree or disagree with it?

Educational sectors play a vital role in development of nation. Traditional subjects like history and can less influence and benefited rather than modern subjects such as, a communication skill and business courses for students. In my opinion, I strongly disagree with this phenomena, as I will elucidate some strong points in the subsequent paragraphs.

To commence with, history is the backbone of particular nation and everyone should have a peace of knowledge about their culture. Getting an information about their ancestors from the schools is the only way. In addition, teachers can better teach them about this subjects rather than anyone can from the family member. For instance, in India, a survey conducted by Times times New India concluded that, 73% of students did not have enough knowledge about their culture.

Moreover, history subject illustrates methods and strategies that will help them in real life incidents and children are more likely to gain wisdom in their life. Furthermore, traditional subjects also motivate them to do work for their country as their great national leaders have fought and died for freedom and peace of their forthcoming generation. Nevertheless, Communication skills can be learn through gaining confidence, practice and parents or any family member can help to sharpen the ability.
