Nowadays, some students deliberately choose between working or traveling after leaving school and prior to attending a university. In this dilemma, some people favor working experience because this option is more optimal for adult life than traveling. From my perspective, I partially agree with this statement, as there are some unpredictable benefits for adults who opt for traveling.
To begin with, it is undeniable that working experience plays a vital role in personal growth, especially for newbie adults. Regarding their career path, broadening their knowledge about a particular area is an optimal choice to escalate to a higher occupational level. With abundant resources for their jobs, they can gain a respectable glance from others, which is widely believed to build their reputation and inevitably attain more promotions. Furthermore, getting too immersed in working requirements also boosts efficiency and proficiency in fulfilling tasks. As conscientious employees, with a plethora of working resources, they can accomplish tough requirements within sufficient time.
Nevertheless, traveling is considered an indispensable factor for thriving as expected. This is because traveling is an amusement, and pursuing this interest can relieve working exhaustion, leading to an increasing concentration threshold at the end of the trip. Thanks to these long-dormant breaks, employees can be more vigorous and enthusiastic to fulfill the remaining portions. Besides, people who engage in adventure can absorb newly formed information and be more conscious about current affairs. Others who conduct research through publication also attain this achievement; however, by direct access to the fact, it is more credible. When keeping themselves abreast with reputable resources, people can utilize it to foster their own connections; on the other hand, they can get along with acquaintances.
In summary, continuing to work or travel both release advantageous chances for students’ growth. However, if I were in this situation, after intensive learning, I would be prone to take a short journey because it brings great motivation for me to study and work.
