After graduating from high school, instead of immediately going to university, students tend to work for a company or go on a trip. While some people believe that work experience is more essential in adult life than traveling, I disagree with this statement and believe that traveling provides some useful skills for their life.
The first reason why students should not work is that they have just graduated from high school and do not have the certification or sufficient knowledge to apply for work in a company. Working in a company may be difficult to keep up with seniors who have been working for a long time and have rich experience. They need to learn some basic skills and necessary knowledge about their majors, which will be a careful preparation for working in an office. Students can spend a year traveling before getting a job. Therefore, choosing to travel is a better option for them at this time. It also helps improve their mental health, reduces stress, and gives them full energy for going to university. According to a recent research, more than 78% of students said that they felt stressed in education, especially in the final year of high school. Traveling also provides them with knowledge about nature, animals, cuisine, and culture, which are also helpful for their life. This is because traveling exposes students to a broader environment compared to working in a company. Students will have the chance to meet more people and try new foods they have never tasted.
In conclusion, traveling is a better choice for students than working in an office because of its many advantages. It is recommended that they still attend university and work when they have the necessary certificates in their majors.
