Nowadays, many teenagers consider that should they have their own a job during their study period. Some believe it brings some benefits, while others think that it can have some drawbacks on young people. In my opinion, I partly agree with the statement above, that taking a job between school and university can have both advantages and disadvantages.
On the one hand, there are several benefits for young people for owning a job. Firstly, they can develop independence and time management, they know how to take care of themselves and learn to manage time and divide things well for a day. Next, teenagers can own their money and don’t have to rely on anyone. The money they get from the job will help them to save and buy things effectively, makes teenagers more mature and thoughtful in their life. Youngsters can also gain more experiences from the job they do, which helps them solve the problems better and behave well in life.
On the other hand, having an own job during studying period also have some drawbacks. One major disadvantage is taking too much time while studying. Young people can lose motivation in study and spend all their time for their work, this can affect a lot in their grades. Moreover, when youngsters work too much, they can be stressed and face with pressure. They are tired of their job and then forget about the studies, when they go to school, this can lead to academic pressure and anxiety.
In conclusion, taking a job for few years during school and university can bring both benefits and drawbacks on young people. They can develop more skills for their own life, but it can be harmful if they don’t know how to balance time between studying and working well. If you decide to have your own job, you should learn to arrange things well and prepare better for your study first.
