Many languages around the world are used less and less each day than before. Should strategies be found to avoid their disappearance? In my opinion, we must do that. Preserving languages is just as important as preserving historical artwork. Languages help to keep the history of a town, village, their culture and it is part of the legacy for future generations.
As well as old paintings, cave paintings, sculptures of the ancient Greece are taken care so languages of the people too. Languages represent all history and culture of a people. First at all, one of the more relevant features in creating societies was how starting to communicate, and languages potentially our development. When we use an unusual language, we can keep alive our roots, if historical languages had not been born, we would not have been able to communication nowadays.
In addition, saying something is the primary mode of communication, and the word than use some time does not have an exactly meaning or translate in other languages, so speaking a language represents a lot cultural of a region. For example, a hypothetical situation where Spanish have been a deprecated language, we have the word “Estrenar”, which not just representing the first time we use new clothes, also it represents a goal, a happiness state in our culture.
In conclusion, we need to commit ourselves to keep alive our ancestors’ languages, which remind us of where we come from. As well as types of historical arts are taught in the schools and are relevant in the people’s culture, so languages need to be protected and preserved through education since early ages.
