Now-a-days, the percentage of people living in the city has seen a significant rise over the last decade. This may be due to factors like employment, better way and quality of life. In many cities, people who relocate there are living alone in large numbers. While living alone can make you more independent, it also has various disadvantages linked to it. In this essay, I will explore more about this topic and provide my opinion.
On one hand, living alone has its own advantages. The cost of rent is less as you do not need a bigger home for yourself and also the cost for groceries would also be less in comparison to living as a group. This may help them in saving some extra money towards their dreams, like buying a car or a house, for example. Not only that it also makes you independent and mentally strong, which may be helpful when you move to different country. Furthermore, some people living alone develop skills like cooking and cleaning, which may further decrease their dependence on the maids required for it.
On the other hand, people living alone are most likely to develop some mental issues. A study shows that the happiness index among the people living with family or friends is higher when compared to that of people living alone. In addition to this, people living in a group interact more with their peers on a personal level which helps in deepening their sense of teamwork and also may help some in developing leadership qualities. Not only this any work around the house can also be distributed and activities done as a group are fruitful than the ones done alone.
In conclusion, while living alone has its own advantages, living in a group can help you deal with any issues effectively. People who are keen on living alone, need to develop a budget and try to live with a group as happiness cannot amount to any wealth. Even if their goals are achieved in more time than planned, they may come out with more experiences and knowledge which may be invaluable.
