Humans tend to imitate each other, especially when buying clothes and consumer goods. I completely agree with the notion because individuals often buy things that are prevalent in society and have good reviews.
Firstly, clothes that are famous shapes society’s beliefs, making people to buy them. To be precise, if a cotton shirt is widely acceptable in society and it is in trend, then the public might start purchasing that shirt type. This is because when a person get in contact with the things, again and again, he may start liking it. For example, Shah Rukh Khan, a famous actor, made western wear common in India by wearing such types of clothes in movies. Hence, people often tend to buy things that are widespread in the community.
Secondly, individuals do not want to waste their money, so they instead get those products that have solid rating. To explain, over the internet, there are e-commerce platforms which sells products online. These sites have a dedicated section known as feedback that shows reviews of previous buyers, and a high rating intrigues a new customer to buy the same thing. For instance, the public buys their smartphones after checking reviews. Therefore, a large number of people get influenced by others to buy the same thing, as feedback from them helps in buying.
In conclusion, human beings often try to copy others when buying clothes or consumer products. I strongly agree with this because the public often follows what is common in the general populace. Also, individuals buy things with the help of reviews.
