It is believed that the average life-expectancy of people will decline in the future as compared to the present. I completely agree that there’s a possibility of happening this in the coming years due to certain reasons like more exposure to technologies, unhealthy lifestyles, and stress.
In today’s world, people are more or less dependant on technology which has made them lazy. In offices, employees spend around 8 hours working while sitting, and factually, this has led to spine and back problems which is common now. Employers provide their workers at least one 15 minutes break to utilize in walking and stretching. However, these breaks are often used in cafeterias for eating a quick snack. There is no doubt that companies have amenities like gym and yoga centers in corporate offices and there are various health and stress seminars conducted for employees. These benefits are not taken by people since the 8 hours job makes them tired and lethargic. Definitely, in the future, this situation might worsen making people retire early from their jobs.
Fast food consumption has been increasing drastically with the increase in obesity, diabetes, cardiac arrests and other health problems. The department of health shared a data of countries with the highest consumption of junk food and the United States topped the charts with life expectancy of citizens just being around the age 50. The situation all over the world will be concerning if people are less likely to adapt a healthy lifestyle in the upcoming years.
Earlier, people used to live in joint families and with more number of people, comes less stress and abundance of love and care. It is said that love is the strongest emotion which keeps a person live physically and mentally for years. With time, people have preferred to live in nuclear families and it’s certain the coming generations would prefer staying either by themselves or with just one person contributing to lesser life expectancy due to mental health problems.
In conclusion, health should be the top most priority of a human being as one cannot become healthy by following a healthy diet or doing regular exercises but factors like love and care are equally important. People are striving hard to earn money that they have forgotten the basic fundamental rule of life, a healthy mind is a key to healthy life. However, the more a person gets exposed to technology, the more they get dependant on a machine instead of pushing themselves to do something. It is evident, that our future generations will be more prone to diseases making their health standards lower with the rise in their age.
