Overcoming poverty is one of the major concerns in developing countries while education is an aspect that can help in reducing it to an extent. But nowadays, it can be seen that affording education is becoming difficult for middle class people as it is getting expensive day-by-day. I completely agree to this point that education should be provided free of cost for atleast six years so that students would be able to make their academic foundations strong.
To commence with, inflation rate and taxes are increasing rapidly in countries under development like India. Common people usually have a low level of income which is insufficient for their living as they have to pay bills, rents, and EMIs. Apart from all these education expenses are rising in the form of school fees, books and uniforms, and even extra-curricular activities offered by schools. So, managing all of these together is a bit challenging for families, that’s why, they discourage their children from studying. For example, In India, high taxes are implied on education sector which parents tries to avoid by not sending their children to schools.
Furthermore, education is a necessity for each and every children. It makes an individual capable of earning a good income for his/her living. Initial years of childhood is very important for a child to learn about basics of academics like reading, writing and using numbers. If teaching will include no expenses, parents will get motivated to provide their children the education they need. For example, In some countries, elimentary schooling is free for every children, and the literacy rate of those places are generally high as compared to those which have education duties.
Therefore, to conclude, I would say that learning should be made available for every children in the country and not include any type of charges.
