The chart illustrates the percentage of residents’ habits of buying and drinking coffee and tea in five Australian cities. The data shows based on the last 4 weeks of survey and categorized as fresh coffee, instant coffee and coffee at cafe.
Overall, it can be seen that in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart the consumption of coffee or tea is higher compared to Adelaide and Brisbane.
Looking at the data set in more detail it is evident that, in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart more than 60 percent of the people love to go to cafes for coffee. Habits of buying fresh coffee is more than 40 percent in the case of Sydney and Melbourne, whereas Hobart is lower, close to 38 percent.
Analyzing the remaining data set It is clear that in the case of Adelaide and Brisbane around 50 percent of people love to buy instant coffee as well as go to a cafe for coffee or tea. Fresh coffee buying habits are lower than 35 percent among Adelaide and Brisbane people.
