The rate of young offenders committing crime is growing significantly these days in several places. There are some causes for this problem, and the rate can be reduced by some solutions

There are many reasons why the rate of young law offenders who commit crime is rising considerably in recent years. One of the most remarkable reason is the technology advancement. Recently, some teenagers have been exposed to games or social media too early without parental supervision. Some games or social networking sites have inappropriate contents, such as violence. Consequently, children would tend to be influenced by such harmful contents and assume that they are appropriate, which results in committing crime. For example, in Vietnam, there have been some tragic cases caused by junevile delinquency due to being exposed to violent games. Another cause of this problem is fear of failure. In some schools, due to high expectation from parents or peer pressure, several students have to find negative ways in order to meet their families’ expectations. For example, there have been some cases of students hacking their teachers’ computers to change their grades. As a result, the students could be caught red-handed and punished.

There are some ways that could be done to address this issue. Firstly, parents should prevent their children from being exposed to toxic contents. For example, families should not allow their children to use social media too early or they can set content restrictions so that their children would not be able to see inappropriate things on internet. Secondly, schools should not make learning environment become too competitive. Instead, they can support the students in learning and improving their grades so that they would no longer feel pressured and afraid of failure

In conclusion, there are several causes to this situation, such as the advancement of technology or fear of failure. However, this could be tackled by some methods including preventing teenagers from being exposed to inappropriate things or schools should not be too competitive
