Illustrated in the diagram is the process of planting and preparing pineapples and pineapple products.
Overall, there are two main stages, the first one is growing pineapples and the second one is making goods from the harvested pineapples.
Firstly, the crowns of the pineapples are cultivated on the ground and the distance between them is 26 cm. In the next step, farmers take care of these crowns for 7 months under the temperature ranging from 23 to 30 degree Celsius before they water these crowns with ethylene to make the pineapples grow faster. After 5 months, the size of the pineapples is about 30 cm and 2 kg, ready for harvesting.
Secondly, these pineapples are washed and divided into three sizes: small, normal and big. The workers peel the small pineapples after cutting down their crowns and then, these fruits are put in an extractor to filter the remains out and the beverage is taken into the cartoons. For the common-size pineapples, they have the same process with the tiny ones; however, they are chopped into slices and dices and put in the cans instead of being extracted. The last one, the large size pineapples are waxed and put in the containers to export to other countries.
