In recent years, Government’s spendings become one of the crucial objects to debate, especially in case of entertainment programs such as art, music and theatre. While some people state that this investment is just waste of financial resources and it would be better invest money to public service, I completely disagree with the statement above and in the essay below will provide further details to substantiate my disagreement.
First of all, with the development of arts, people become more educated not only spiritually, but also historically. Many arts provide information about unusual features and specific places of ancient periods. Take an example the Tower of Babel, the picture gives people information about one of the famous places of that period and how it was built.
Furthermore, cutting finance in music and investing these funds in public service will lead to decrease in people’s productivity. Most people use music as a treatment to refresh their mind in a daily work routine and leave individuals without it will lead to rose of psychological problems among employees. For instance, I have a friend, who every week go to different music festivals to take his mind off his hard work, without this weekly participation he become angry and anxiety during all the next week.
Additionally, if the government stops to fund theatres, there will be a considerable increase in terms of unemployment. Theatres themselves cannot cover their expenses and will close due to budget deficit. For example, Uzbekistan has more than 500 theatres and their close will leave their workers without money.
In conclusion, I totally disagree with the people who believe that government should finance public services rather than do investments in art, music and theatre.
