Band 4+: The growing popularity of international tourism has created employment and economic opportunities in many countries. Some people believe that tourism should continue to be encouraged, while others argue that it should be restricted because of its effects on local communities and the natural environment.

In several nations, the popularity of international tourism increase, which and it brings opportunities of employment and economic. It is believed that the encouragement of internal tourism should be continue because it can increase revenue. On the other hand, some people believe that it must limited due to ….. and an environmental issues.

The primary reasons why tourism must be encouraged is that it can help **the local residents** **gain more income.** The local inhabitants can work as giudes for the tourists from abroad, so that it can increase their family revenue. For example, **people who live near a tample** which is **an iconic place** in their country and well-known across the world, could work as a guide for tourist from other countries. As a result, tThey will earn money from its profession. Another illustration is that, the local inhabitants can make and sell traditional souvenirs and offer it to the tourists. The result is they can make money from that activities.

However, the unternational tourism also gives negative effects on local groups and natural environment. The first effect is that it can **alter the life of local society**. Since so many tourists come to their country or city, the situation can be **crowded**, so the result is traffic congestion and it can distrup their movement. For instance, when a student need to go to his school in 7 am, because a lot of tourist in the city, he must spare more time to go to the school. In the normal occassion it only spend 30 minutes, but for that condition he must spend for 1 hours. Another disadvantage is tourism can cause make **pollution i**n nature, because if there is to many people visit a place, it can poteantially **produce more rubbists**. Fro example, **a mountain** which visiyed by million people a year can going very **dirty** because they might will **litter ing** in that place.
