It is argued that what defines a successful individual is how much money he or she makes, and whether they lead a booming career or not. Although there are multiple domains that define success, I firmly agree that wealth and career development are two pivotal aspects to consider when you are assessing the level of an individual’s success.
Frued ,a renowned psychologist, proposed that the rich are percieved as successful because people admire the hard work and effort they had put in to earn those large sums of money. In the current competitive world, a person must go through a lot of hardships and successfully combat them to lead a lavish lifestyle. These hardships are what enables the rich to gain people’s respect and liking. Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Meta Corporations, is an inspiring example. He started from scratch as a student, and managed to establish one of the most successful social media corporations, making him a role model for the younger generation.
Esteemed professionals can also be professors in their fields, and they should be respected for that reason. Professionals gain valuable experience until they reach a high point in their careers, that’s why most educational institutions hire them to pass on their information to students. For example, Texas university hires professors not only according to their academic achievements, but also according to their success in their respective careers. The university believes that hiring these professionals paves the students’ way to success.
In conclusion, despite the fact that success can be measured by multiple ways, I completely believe that financially affluent individuals should be respected for the difficulties they endured in their life and the priceless information they teach their students.
