Science should prioritize a human life as the most significant aim for itself and should dedicate all its efforts to make it better. I strongly agree with this viewpoint for several reasons, and my opinions will be elaborated in the following essay.
Firstly, no such a thing is more important than human life which is the main reason why scientists should pay more attention to it. There are still so many existing diseases that they do not have treatments, which is why they continue to take lives. Investigators should search for the reason behind these diseases; how they appear, develop throughout a specific period, and deteriorate the quality of people’s lives. For example, even though researchers have been seeking a cure for cancer for very long years, but there is no improvement yet and a vast majority of people die due to this disease every day.
Secondly, a significant number of people still need improvements in their daily life needs, some of them have no access to a group of amenities, and others reside in a place that is hazardous, or unhealthy for people, especially children. The government should arrange a scientific project that attempts to ameliorate the living standards, in that way the people would not struggle with such issues.
Additionally, there is a group of people who hold a view that the crucial aim of science is to find more exact data about the existence of humanity and to understand the creation of the world. However, I believe that there is no point in devoting all scientific efforts to this field. Because it does not provide the mankind with any benefits, scientists can only reveal what is unknown with their research which is even not sure that they are going to achieve it or vice versa, it is only an assumption. It requires not only the dedication of the scientists but also a great amount of money which could be spent on more essential things, such as improving people’s lives.
In conclusion, people have diverse opinions on whether developing people’s lives should be the most vital target of the studies or it should be focused on other fields, I believe that human life must be the major concern of science.
