In recent days, some people believe that reading fiction (such as novels and short stories) is more enjoyable than watching movies. But from my prespective, both reading books and watching films are fascinating for people, especially for children.
First and foremost, reading books has a number of advantages such as giving people a lot of information to increase their worldview. For instance, people who read books every day or twice a week become a person that has a number of abilities such as active listening, analyzing a situation. From that side, if people try to read some books, they can be a good listener and it affects their behaviour and mindset. Additionally, there are some books such as fairy-tales and stories that improve children’s imagination skills, as well as entertaining them. Consequently, reading books can be beneficial for some people.
On the other hand, the vast majority of people prefer watching films due to several reasons. Given that people can visually see the scenes in movies, it is much more comfortable to watch films. Meanwhile, people can expand their worldview and learn a new language. For example, a 16-year-old non-English speaker who has watched English movies since their childhood will be most likely to learn the language very well. Consequently, not only does watching movies attract people visually, but it also provides people with hard skills such as learning a language.
In conclusion, both reading books and watching films play an important role to assist people to reach their best version.
