News are the primary source to stay updated with happening around the world, by the help of technology, people getting more aware with world activities. It is agreed that internet is becoming the biggest source of news than newspapers because online news platforms can publish the news in written articles with videography or visual effects with wide range of content and it is easy to access from anywhere.
Many websites of reports and articles has more content with detail coverage of an incidents or activities of the world; however, in newspapers, it provide a limited range for information and cannot be able to print all the current affairs. Furthermore, in terms of online apps and websites of news it is easy to display all activities due to high-advanced software; meanwhile, newspapers cannot print lots of information in 15-20 pages. For instance, few months ago, terror attack was happened in Jammu; at that time I came to know from paper media, later, I searched it on internet, I saw all the detailed coverage of that incident and surprisingly, in newspapers, only a few key points were printed on that attack.
Internet news are easily accessible form electronic devices like smartphones or televisions; however, in newspaper, it printed periodically. People stay updated with the latest development or real-time incident. Meanwhile, in terms of newspaper, public have to wait for the next day or for the next date of the publishment. Additionally, public can easily access the digital media with internet connection at any point time or place. For example, a month ago, one of my friends came at my home in sudden and told me that result of India’s election is declared; immediately, I searched the site of times of India in that it was mentioned in detail with all-state parties’ result, later I saw next day newspaper, I noted many things that were not mentioned in paper at all.
In conclusion, internet sites are getting more popular amongst public with wide range of options and accessibility in comparison of newspaper.
