Band 5+: The old generation often hold traditional ideas about the correct way of life, thinking and behavior. However, some people think that these ideas are not helpful for young people to prepare for modern life. To what extent do agree or disagree?

Elderly people often follow some unconventional ideas on the ideal way of living, thinking and to act with. Whereas, some individuals hold the opinion that those ideolosies are not useful to the new generations as they are preparing for more advance society in the future. I completely disagree with the given statement and believe that the life lessons and experience from the senior citizens will make easier the future journey of the youngsters.

To begin with,our grandparents have experienced life much more time than ours. They faced many problems and overcome those with their hand-skilled experience. In Bangladesh our old generation survived many unusual circumstances, for instance, they faced many flash floods and famaine and successfully supressed those conditions. From their life experience our new generations can learn how to survive the harsh conditions, like how they take dring water during the flash floods and what they eat while all the crops are fail to harvest.

Secondly, their typical thinking about any situations can also be teachable, because their understanding level of any issues are developed by their long time observations. For example, the elderly people can predict the weather conditions of the day without using the modern facilities and in term of decision making their suggestion helps a lots to choose the right one. Moreover, the elderly people are tend to be more social than the younger. This socialism nature should be learn from them because we are social being, without this socialism nature we can not maintain the social relationship with one another and this will lead a unpredictable future.For example,can you think about a modern world, where no one interact with one another?

On the other hand, some people argue their opinion that in modern world the typical way of thinking is not necessary because their will be modern technologies and sophisticated facilities that don’t require elderly people advise to cup-up with this advanced world in the future. But, I firmly believe that experience is matter in every sectors and it is imperative to the children,to take lessons and like skills from their grandparent’s generation.

In conclusion, I reeiterate my opinion that the practical life lessons from the elderly people is necessary for the modern erar’s children to get ready in the future lifestyles.
