Prevention is better than cure is a prominent saying. Medical treatments and medicines are expensive and also time-consuming. It is generally believed that government should prepare a budget regarding health policies and programmes, which will help in preventing wellness issues. I certainly agree to this notion. In the following paragraphs, I will share my insight on this view.
The paramount essential fact is that government schemes and policies are free of cost. Hence, poor people who cannot afford healthy lifestyle, cam avail these preventive measures. For instance, regular health campaigns are conducted in public hospitals, which not only does medical check-ups but also promotes the ideals of maintaining a wellbeing.
Furthermore, responsible heads have started establishing open gyms and yoga centers across the nation. These are accessible to all citizens. Meditation and gym improves mental and physical health respectively. In India, the union government allocated around Rs. 1,250 crore for further development of their institutions.
I completely agree to this belief and advocate that health is in one’s own hand. If a person fails to balance his wellbeing, ultimately he would pay a massive treatment bill. COVID-19 is an apt example for this. Many people did not get affected by the virus because they maintained a healthy and all-round lifestyle. In addition to it, a research was conducted post COVID and results showed that people have become much more aware for their wellness.
My concluding statement agrees to the idea of preventing health issues and illness beforehand. The government is trying its best to provide better medical facilities by organizing free health seminars, building of open gyms and yoga centers. Infact, citizens should also take responsibility of keeping themselves fit and fine so that they do not encounter any disease or illness.
