A rising trend of usage in social platforms establishes accessible ways for its users to express their resentment in public. Such changes are inevitable given the process of globalization in the industry. As a result, negative opinions and hate speech are out in the wild–creating a new form of bullying. This essay will discuss both positive and negative impacts in favor of the latter.

First of all, posting regulations do not apply in these media; each individual is free to publish however they want in various forms. Although report features in particular are available throughout the usage of social media, it may not be enough to stop one’s mind to show their frustrations online; it enables thousands of people to see and engage with their thoughts. In most cases, not everyone is nice enough to give positive feedback. Consequently, these may lead to hostility towards individuals or a community by spreading bad energy towards others and reducing their confidence

On the other hand, social media is not all bad. They help mass to discuss issues as thoughts and critiques are being exchanged. A good complaint might be what it took to help build and improve such matters by means of being better. After all, the usage of these types of platforms depend on its user, whether they want to resent or help others in need. Social media platforms might be useful in the future if more people took consideration on what they share and publish.
