It is irrefutable that education plays part and parcel role in every individual’s life. It is believed that content of education must be choose by government while some people feel that teachers should decide the school curriculum. I partly agree with the statement as it is good to choose curricula by authorities but some portion should be left in the hands of the teachers which will be discussed in upcoming paragraphs.
Having equal curriculum by authorities gives equal opportunities to all students,which make their future bright. For an instance ,if student learn all curriculum,they can get job in any state. Secondly,this would also remove gap between government and private schools. It also remove discrimination among institutions. They could not ignore effective subjects like science and maths. It become compulsion for them to study given subjects. So that ,they does not hold negative effects in their lives. For example, if they imply other religious subjects and ignore science . They would not receive well rounded education.
On the other hand ,if teachers decide the school curriculum,it become beneficial for poor students to study effectively. For example , if student is poor, a teacher can make curriculum according to their efficiency which develops their talent, and make study effectively for them. Moreover, it also help to reduce stress on students. The present problem is that the curriculum is too complex which put a lots of pressure on students. If teachers decide it accordingly,it become easy for them to learn and enjoy studies.
To conclude, it can be said that ,it can hold some flexibility if both give equal contribution in making national curriculum as it put right effect on childrens and their studies.
