The table and the two pie graphs illustrate the police budget and its distribution in one specific British area in two separate years: 2017 and 2018.
Overall, financial contributions to the budget showed an upward trend across all sources. Additionally, when it comes to distribution, most of the money was allocated to salaries.
Regarding the sources of funding, National Government’s contribution accounted initially for the largest amount at 175.5 million pounds, followed by a slight growth of around 2 million pounds by 2018. Similarly, the figures for Local Taxes and other unspecific sources almost mirrored a comparable trend, albeit at much lower levels. Notably, a modest increase of approximately 14 million pounds was experienced in the total amount during the same period.
Concerning the financial distribution, technology development seemed to attract little attention, with the allocation to this field accounting consistently for the lowest figures, at 8% (2017) and 14% (2018), respectively. Conversely, that of buildings and transport remained unchanged at 17%, whereas spending on salaries dropped slightly by 6% from 75% in 2017.
