The table compares information about the number of mobile phones and personal computers which were possessed by per 1000 population in six different countries in 2003 alone.
Overall, it is clear that the most mobile gadgets were owned by Icelanders, while its counterpart San Marino possessed more computers comparing to other nations. Another interesting point is that with the least number of mobile phone ownership Chile, owned the fewest figure of computers with Malasia.
San Marino, Chile and France showed higher level of figures of the possession of personal computers than mobile phones. San Marino had by far the most computers, standing at 720 per 1000 people, whilst reverse was true for Malasia and Chile had got 100 PCs each per the same number of people. Conversely, according to mobile phone ownership, Iceland led the pack with the figure of staggering 900, which was much more than the maximum number of computer possessed, followed by New Zealand with 550 per 1000 people.
As for the number of cell phones available for each 1000 people in the countries shown, France’s figure stood at 200. The counts for San Marino and Chile were not as significant, with the respective figures of 100 and 50. Finally, in terms of the number of computer ownership, New Zealand demonstrated relatively less number, with 350, however, Iceland reached 400, almost four times more than Malasia
