The table illustrates how many people had their own phones and computers in different countries,including Chile,San Marino,France,Malaysia,Zealand and Iceland in 2003.
Overall,both phones and personal computers were commonly used in Iceland with 900 and 400. However,this index was significantly lower in Chile than other countries,at 50 and 100.
Focusing on the index for mobile phones,the number of people who had their own mobile phones and computers in Iceland was nine times as high as the number of people had a phone in San Marino comprised for 900. However,the number of people owning personal computers in Iceland was outnumbered by San Marino,relatively at 720 and 400 users per thousand. By contrast,only a few people in Chile owned a personal computer and mobile phone,with 100 and 50,respectively.
It can be seen that people who had a mobile phone and PC in Zealand were more than people owning phones and personal computers in France and Malaysia,made up 550 and 350. Similarly,people using mobile phones in Malaysia were a little more than that of those used a phone in France,constituting for 250. However,France ranked higher than Malaysia in the number of people owning personal computers accounted for 300.
