People are preferring their own vehicles over public transportation and this development rapidly increased in recent years. While this trend may lead to air pollutioning and road safety issues, promoting electric vehicles and shifting the trend towards public transportation can improve the situation.
One concern that is associated with using cars in large numbers can damage the environment. This is because concentration of carbon dioxide in air might be increased by vehicles which release emissions of gases while running on roads. This can cause respiratory problems among people. Having considered environmental reason driving cars in large scales can be problem.
Another concern can be safety on the road. In other word, continous use of automobiles can be the main reason for the heavy traffic and highway accidents due to the difficulties while following the driving rule. Therefore, this can be addressed as an issue that should be tackled.
In my opinion, however, there are some sensible ways to alleviate this problem. One approach can be marketing electric cars. This is because battery electric vehicles produce less pollution and are more environmentally friendly. Putting public transports into more practice can be the next solution. To be precise, investing in reliable, affordable, and efficient public transportation systems can reduce car dependency. Take Japan as an example, after Japan’s government encouraged its residents to use more public transports such as subways and busses, traffic jams and road accidents have been decreased.
In conclusion, air pollutioning and road safety can be the main contributors of excessive usage of cars. However, some methods including promoting electric vehicles and preferring public transports seem sensible to address this issues.
