Nowadays, it is a very controversial topic that the general public are choosing homeopathy and ayurveda over allopathic medicines more than ever before. Through the following essay, I will discuss both the positive and negative aspects of this trend.
Discussing the downsides of this trend, starting with the fact that healing with the help of homeopathy and ayurveda or any natural medical science takes a very long time compared to any medical science. Besides this, since natural medical science is based on natural herbs and spices which are definitely not present in abundance and hence the cost of such medicines and treatments are very high. For instance, a cancer patient will prefer to take allopathic pills than to have natural remedies done on him just to get cured faster.
On the other hand, talking about its benefits, it is often said that ayurveda and homeopathy just not cure only the disease but the person. These natural medical sciences slowly heal all parts of the human body and work on the principles of treating the root cause and not on the temporary relief. In addition to this, since everything is treated with natural things, there are very effective and observed very few side effects and oftentimes no side effects are to be seen in patients. For example, The bark of Ashoka trees is served to women with issues in their menstrual cycle in the form of tea, and the majority of these women have reported that this remedy has notebly solved their problem.
In a nutshell, just like every coin has two sides, this trend too has its own pros and cons. Any person opting for alternative sources of medicine must fully research the use case before consumption so that no harm is caused.
