Over the last few decades, it has become more popular for people to live or study abroad. For many people, especially the young, it is a good opportunity to try themselves in something new. However, inevitably, there are would be people who also run into difficulties. In this essay, I will outline some of the pros and cons and draw some conclusion.
I will start by looking at the advantages. One of the significant benefits of working/studying or living abroad is that it broadens your horizons. So, for instance, you could meet completely different people with their various cultures that, therefore, might expand your communication skills and, probably, change your worldwide (This can make you more rounded as a person). As well as this, heading overseas may positive influent on your quality of life. Take European people for example. Thousands of humans could have a lot of occupations that provides them remotely work, instead of on-site, hence, they do not have to commute to work and encourage a better work-life balance. In addition, you also can improve your language skills that probably led you to further promotions.
Turning to the other side of the argument, being abroad might negative affect on some people lives. In other words you have to make some new friends even if it is hard and stat your new life from scratch. In this case people start to be cut-off and cause experience feelings of loneliness and homesick. Even so, it is expensive to travel home regularly, what means constant missing of your family and friends. Another major drawback is that it is difficult to cope with language barrier. Even if you have been learning language for ages, there would be some psychologist problems related to accents and things that undermine your self-confidence.
All things considered, starting life in a foreign country is never easy. You need to weigh up the benefits of the better lifestyle, online work and so on, and the drawbacks of psychologist problems with feeling loneliness and unconfident of handle with language barrier. From my point of view, all kinds of this advantages outweigh the disadvantages, but, obviously, it depends on human personality.
