It is considered that paper books will be lost their importance in the later future. I fully disagree with this statement since physical books offer the sense of tradition and sensory interaction.
To begin with digital technology has enhanced and e-books and other source of information have gained popularity in recent times. In other words, more and more people opt for digital books . However, it has a profound impact on eye strain. That is to say, extended screen time may lead to eye fatigue , blurred vision and irritation. As a result, it causes the health deterioration. In addition to this , digital books are often read by bookworms online that can easily become source of distractions due to notifications, emails or other interruptions. Consequently, people are prone to a lack of concentration during the reading process.
Having said that, traditional paper books will never be perished because of their cultural significance. That is , physical books facilate the intergenerational transmission of knowledge values and stories with family. They are passed away from ancestors to young generation, preserving familial or cultural legacies. Furthermore, printed books deliver the physicality and tangibility. For instance, they can give a sense of excitement and satisfaction. This meant, people tend to feel the unique smell and pages of book which allows people to go into their world and enrich whole experience.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that the paper books will never be replaced with e-books , considering cultural heritage and tactile experience.
