There is an opinion that changing the location of large businesses, factories and their workers form cities to rural areas is the solution for congestion and accommodation problems in urban areas. I partly agree with this statement due to the fact that it helps to reduce the population of big cities, however, it may prevent the development of the urban economic system.
On the one hand, I think that moving the factories and businesses from the cities to the countryside can prevent the congestion and accommodation problems, which caused by the rise of population. This is because companies and factories are where employees working and some of them also living in surrounding areas, which lead to the growth of population. As a result, moving big companies and factories to the countryside may prevent the rise of population and migrations to those areas. For instance, Ho Chi Minh city is a large economic city in Vietnam, where located a lot of factories and businesses, however, the government request those companies to move to the suburban areas such as Binh Duong and it helps reduce the large amount of residents in urban center.
On the other hand, moving the large companies to the countryside may restrict the development of the economic system. To explain, I think that large companies is the place that global businesses choose to invest in, which grow the economic system. However, when big business moved to the countryside, the investment will tend to be flew into those rural areas. Which prevent the development of the economic system. For example, the factories in Bind Duong, where a Ho Chi Minh city’s coutryside, where had received a lot of investment from the other nations, such as Samsung, BMW and others big companies. Consequently, the economic of Ho Chi Minh may be prevented.
To conclude, I think that moving companies and factories from urban to rural area can be a solution to solve the congestion and accommodation problems, due to the reduction of the population. However, it may lead to the preventing of economic development.
