Over the years, vehicles have spread all around the world, causing traffic congestion. Many people argue that this problem negatively affects their daily lives, especially for individuals who are working or studying. This issue needs to be solved before it gets out of hand, and in my opinion, actions need to be taken by the governments.
Traffic congestion in major cities around the world often shares common causes. One major problem is the low presence of walkable pedestrian sidewalks. This can lead to a significant increase of vehicle users, resulting in too many people owning private cars, and consequently a crucial traffic happens. Another issue is that the designs of multiple roads in the city are botched, and for this reason, it may create confused drivers, which might lead to unpredictable accidents.
To address this issue, the government should consider providing public transports while guaranteeing safety, affordability and cleanliness for the society. With the availability of collective transport, peoples in urban landscapes should take the chance to travel with less traffic. A way to support this solution is to build more pedestrian lanes. Individuals will travel by public transport and use path walks for a more efficient way to live, as well as to prevent traffic congestions. Another possible measure is improving road designs to help avoid possible accidents in the future.
In summary, the solutions to combat the problem are primarily lead by the government. Actions need to be proceeded with on the following day. With these efforts combined, eventually big cities will act as if traffic is rare.
