Nowadays, with the development of technology, more and more children tend to watch TV while there are some violent TV programmes. There are advantages and disadvantages of watching TV for kids, which will be considered.
One of the main advantages of watching TV for kids is that they can learn from educational programmes. There are tons of educational cartoons, where kids can learn numbers, colours, and some basic things that they should know.
The second positive point of watching TV for kids is that they can entertain themselves by watching entertainment programmes. They can watch lots of entertainment like “spider man”, “avengers” , “Simpsons”. By watching that, children can entertain themselves, while parents are relaxing.
Turning to the other side of the argument, the violence is shown on TV. Violent shows can be really harmful for kid’s mind, because it can lead to some mental and psychic problems, aggressive behaviour and thoughts, as kids may imitate what they see. In addition, it can lead to anxiety, nightmares, and desensitization to the consequences of violence.
In conclusion, watching TV for children is a good way of learning and entertaining, but there is also some violence on TV which is bad for kids. Personally, I think parents should monitor what their children are watching and avoid watching violent content.
