There are two opinions about using CCTV cameras in fighting crimes. People are trying to prove their sides about the issue. However, what are the drawbacks of using CCTV cameras and the benefits of using it in combating crimes? In this essay, I will look at both sides and draw some conclusions about this.
Let’s begin by looking at the advatages of using CCTV cameras. One of the main positives is combating the crime in the area of filming. However, there is another advantage of cameras, personally, I beliveve that there is an psychological effect what can have an impact on citizens who are going to do a crime. Nobody will try to break the law in a case when you can be catched on video.
Turning to the other side of argument, I believe that filming in public can affect the personal life of people. Nobody wants to reveal their personal information what can affect for example the relationship in a family, videoshootages can create such problems. Secondly, the cost of cameras are slightly high and this money could be used in a health sector or the other important things.
In conclusion, there are a different opinions about this issue but we have to find the gold mean in any question regarding the CCTV cameras. In my opinion, the crime situation should be followed by these devices, because any prooves are based on video footages, and governament should support filming of cameras in public spaces.
