Many years ago, it was a debatable issue whether technology could improve people’s lives or not. While some are positive about developing modern automation, others are against it because they think that technology will dominate and control the human species. From my viewpoint, I believe that it’s high time for us to discard outdated fossilized attitudes. Replacing it, we should update and renovate the modernization more and more to turn our world into a reasonable place to live.
The first and most important reason for advancing technology is that through convenient apps, it can improve communication and global connectivity. According to research I found online in 2023. Researchers indicate that over 5.3 billion people (approximately 66% of the global population) had access to the Internet by 2023, enabling better communication. However, in 2000, only 7% of the world’s population had access to the Internet, compared to the current 66%, showing a significant rise over the past two decades. Thanks to 2 research, we can see that more and more people are accessing modern technology and maybe in the future, it is possible that people all over the world will approach the Internet in many ways in a near future.
Another major reason why technology has many benefits for humans is that we are stepping into the era of AI which exposes to many lives of people around the world. Some research shows that over 4 billion people use AI-powered voice assistants like Siri, Alexa, or Google Assistant. Additional reports also illustrate that 75% of businesses worldwide were actively using AI, and an additional 80% were exploring its potential for implementation. They are considered as evidence for using AI in real life by humans. As far as we see, AI platform has many advantages and is applied in many fields such as education, the healthcare system, etc. Facts and research above also are persuasive proofs that demonstrate that people are stepping into the era of using AI.
However, there are two sides to every question, some personals, especially for older people or those from the parent class above. They are negative about the merits of technology because they think that it is not necessary or it is not too difficult for them to master skills of using technology. Nevertheless, they are completely wrong because their work are relevant to appearance of technology. Moreover, automation almost gets access to their daily lives.
To conclude, technology has a big influence on daily lives. It plays an important role in communication and global connectivity. Beside that, Artificial Intelligence also should be applied into the lifestyle of people to improve the quality of their lives.
