Since the evaluation of the first humans, our technology has been improving gradually. Throughout that period, many inventions have been made by successful scientists. The process of making inventions consists of several steps such as thinking, planning, designing, crafting, testing and etc. In the first look; the first step, thinking, seems to be the important one. However, the last step, testing, is the most crucial step, since it is the only stage that you can truly see if your invention is working or not. Moreover, some ideas seem to be really creative and perfect in theory, but when it comes to real life, they might be useless. The testing stage also only option to see that. After the last step, there are always 2 options: failure and success. Mostly, the first one occurs. Because of that, scientists have to repeat all steps and fix the problems until create a new invention to test. Unfortunately, the outcome almost never changes. Thus, they have to repeat all steps for several times in order to make a successful invention. For instance, Edison, a great engineer, tried more than thousand times to invent a lamp.
Lamp, the stuff that we use to lighten dark places. It is essential for our lives and has a simple mechanics to work. Basically, it consists of glass and wire. When the electricity jumps across the wire, it produces light and heat due to resistance. Yet, it takes several experiments for it to be invented.
In fact, the processes of almost all inventions are similar to lamb. They consist of several times of failure, but eventually success. Furthermore, throughout the history, many scientists have resigned on the last step because they failed countless times, hence lots of ideas couldn’t turn to working machines. If they had not resigned, they could have made successful inventions, eventually. Consequently, we can say that it takes failure to achieve success. Although, it is possible to achieve success without failure, the odds are extremely low as we discussed before.
