Some argue that people do not have to spend time and resources for wild animals because they have no beneficial sides for human life. I totally disagree with this point of view and believe that people cannot survive without these creatures.
There are numerous contributions to human life. One of which is ecological balance. For example, there are predators which prey on herbivores, because if there are too many herbivores, they may cause overgrazing. Thus, predators prevent overgrazing and preserve plant life by hunting them. Herbivores, in turn, help regulate plant species, ensuring no single species dominates, which can lead to soil erosion and habitat loss. Insects, birds, and other creatures play roles in pollination, ensuring plant species can reproduce and sustain the environment. If, in contrast, there are no wild animals, the environment can collapse, leading to a shortage of water, food, and shelter, which humans need.
In my opinion, we must preserve them and believe that another beneficial side of wild animals is biodiversity and environmental health. They contribute to biodiversity, which is critical for ecosystem stability. Biodiversity ensures that ecosystems can adapt environmental challenges such as climate change and natural disasters. A diverse ecosystem is resilient and capable of bouncing back from disturbance. For humans, if the ecosystem is resilient, humans can receive clean air from plants animals help and fertile soil from animals such as earthworms and microorganisms that enrich the soil. The loss of biodiversity can result in ecosystem degradation, which directly affects human health, agriculture, and access to natural resources.
In conclusion, there are many beneficial sides of animals, such as their contribution to ecological balance, biodiversity, and environmental health. In my opinion, we must preserve them due to their vast amount of contributions to us.
