Their are various perceptions surrounding the questions: are handwritten texts old-fashioned and should no longer be available in education systems, or they still have to be a required skill for improving lifeskills. This essay will discuss both views and from my perspective, I believe that written text should combine with digital forms to help students enhance their writing abilities.
There are some reasonable explanations why some individuals think that handwritting must be crossed out of schools, chief among which is the negative impact on the efficiency and speed when trying to express an idea. To be specific, in literature class, traditional students will have a formidable challenge while writing an essay, since it requires advance writing control. Consequently, the quality of the text will either be unfinish or unclear. This is when the second statement comes in, many people firmly believe that handwriting communication remains a crucial skill for students, one main reason for that is it improves the logical thinking ability of each person. When students try to write on their one to complete an assignment or communicate with classmates, it will help them remember the context better as well as support them with quick-chatting with other friends in class.
From my point of view, I personally think that school should also improvise handwritting and typing text for communicating in education facilities. Combining the speed of sending documents and the simplicity of handwriting, both learners and teachers can illustrate ideas about the lessons be more practical and easy. For example, many classes in Asia has implied subjects that related to the mentioned writting skills in class to help strengthen text processing skills for future uses.
In conclusion, although digital literacy is essential for the modern workforce, handwriting remains vital for cognitive development. Therefore, I believe schools should not abandon pen and paper but instead integrate both skills to ensure a balanced education.
