A lot of countries are letting non-resident to get “digital nomad” visas, which allows people to live and work in that country which is not their home country. In my opinion, there are more advanteges than disadvanteges of giving this kind of visas.
Firstly, It boostes economy of the country, which the person is working and living, because more people means more labour force. When there is more labour, the production increases. Which leads to economic boost followed by rise in Gross Domestic Product(GDP). These increases promotes the good living standarts. Where living standarts are high, people living there will be happy from their government. Also, people who lives in a place must pay the taxes. Taxes will be directed to the budget of the country. And this money can be used as subsidy for education, healths care or other facilities for the residents of the country, which promotes higher living standarts again.
Secondly, It boostes the economy of the country, which the person came from. Firstly the person sends money back to their family. Then using this money, the family buy goods, which they need and causes demand to rise. Which causes supply to rise, and total output of the country increases. However, the loss of the labour force may equalize the overal state.
In my opinion, giving “Digital nomad” visas are benefitial to the both countries and the economical stability of the person. Although, there are some disadvanteges too, as nothing is perfect.
