From a personal perspective, the significance of long-standing occupations is not undermined despite slight decrease in youth appeal.
To commence with, the fact that the popularity of unconventional careers has led to the declining interest in more traditional vocational paths should not be neglected. A discernible contributor to this phenomenon is the increasingly competitive job market. The pursuit of conventional careers has been rendered especially challenging for today’s graduates by the surge in qualified candidates and limited hiring positions, which means attaining even ordinary office jobs is unrealistic for many young people. Thus, the digital space becomes more alluring due to the abundance of opportunities offered: there exists no limit on the number of social media personalities, while the chance to prosper financially is equally distributed to every individual. Additionally, the discrepancy between the revenue margin and nature of conventional and unconventional vocations also plays a part. Careers in traditional fields such as education, accounting and so forth, are often associated with moderate salary, inflexible schedules, and complex bureaucracy.
