It is often argued that space exploration is driven more by national pride than international efforts. While this was true in the past, I partly agree with this statement and believe that cooperation is becoming more important and countries are setting their sights on developing technology in the foreseeable future.
On the one hand, space exploration had a historical bond with national pride. This is because a considerable number of countries wanted to demonstrate their strength due to the space breakthrough and innovations that were a symbol of their power for others. For example, early space exploration was driven by competitors’ aims rather than development or corporations.
On the other hand, modern space explorations rely on increasingly international team work. Many projects involve multiple countries, which share their resources, and knowledge. Moreover, this type of co-operation is becoming a regular occurrence nowadays. From a future perspective, it can be predicted that this trend is going to be a more common phenomenon. The main reason that a major step towards the future is a significant amount of expenditure and workforce that can help humanity push our boundaries. For instance, private organizations also play a crucial role in this history, because they not only make a great profit but also contribute to scientific progress .
In conclusion, although space exploration was once driven by national pride, albeit now becoming more cooperative. Nowadays, this trend can yield visible outcomes and seek a new sense of human existence. Only time will tell the consequences.
