Juvenile delinquency is increasing among young people in a significant number of countries. This essay will discuss the cause of this issue and suggest an available solution to this statement. One of the common reasons behind youth crimes is poverty and financial hardship. However, the Government can effectively address these crimes by creating educational and employment opportunities for the future generation of their country.
This serious problem is particularly happening because of poor living conditions. People do not have money for buying necessities, such as food or clothes. In these situations most adolescents are turned to illegal acts. Every crime leaves a significant mark on the country’s development. In African countries, many teens suffer from this lifestyle, where they are forced to steal something from a store, sell drugs to earn money.
Initially, the Government should pay more attention to developing employment opportunities for the new generation. Moreover, give them opportunities and chances to start work in a legal format. From 2015, France practiced short-time vocational courses for teaching the youngest people to earn money. In addition, this solution reduced crime rates among teenagers to 41%. They started to work in the restaurants, museums, and construction sites.
In conclusion, economic struggle is a primary driver of youth crime, as many teenagers turn to do illegal activities for basic necessities. However, this issue can be effectively addressed, if the government invests in practical training programmes and gives job opportunities, provided with law. It will reduce crime rates and secure a better future for the next generation.
