The topic of money is a difficult topic to discuss, because each person has a different opinion about it. Some people say that money does not bring happiness. On the one hand, I agree with this statement, but on the other hand, if we have money we are very happy, because we can buy anything we want like houses, cars, trendy clothes, food, we can travel and visit beautiful places etc. Also we can pay our medical insurance or our medical services if we get sick.
Some people think that it is a good idea to give children a small amount of money each week or once on a month to spend on what they would like. In this situation parents trust in their children. It is a good possibility for a child to understand the value of money because he alone decides if he really needs this objects or he might buy something else with this amount.
Other people think that this is wrong and that it is a waste of money. Parents are worried that their children can buy something harmful like alcohol , cigarettes , drugs, a lot of junk food etc.
In my opinion, it’s a good idea to give children a small amount of money. When I was young, I was paid for good results at school, by my mom, but if I had bad grades like 8 or lower than 8, I was return a certaint amount back to her. This thing helped me to understand how to managed with my budget, from a young age. Now, my mom gives me an amount of money every month and I alone decide what to do with them.
In conclusion, I can say that each parent should decide alone how to take care with their children. There are no right and wrong oppinions in this situation.
