In this day and age, the role of education has been a topic of heated debate. In fact, a plethora of educational systems put an emphasis on the enhancement of the learner’s ability for reasoning and critical thinking , however, students would benefit to a greater extent from an education that promotes the exploration of their own emotions. From my perspective, I partly agree with this statement on account of the follwing reasons.
On the one hand, the education system that emphasizes the betterment of students’ability to brainstorm in a plausible way has various advantages. Firstly, the main objective of educating students is one of the factors. There is no denying that when being exposed to various challenging problems, students may be given the opportunity to sharpen their mind after succeeding in untangling them. As a result, they can accumulate their own capability of brainstorming ideas and innovations, which is the primary goal of education – to gain knowledge and skills that will prepare individuals to lead productive and fulfilling lives. Moreover, the education that affords students with practical skills and knowledge can be beneficial in terms of exploring and nuturing talents. It is a fact that when encouraging reasoning skills when providing education, the exploration of natural talents of educators can be more straightforward in comparision to the rote education system. It follows that there will be a number of people who possess high academic performance that can contribute to the overall development of the society.
On the other hand, emotions may play an fundamental role in the effectiveness of an education system. In the first place, emotions may be a prerequisite factor when a person want to fulfill their goals. It is true that when undertaking any tasks, students are necessitated to be stable in their emotions so as to obtaining the expected outcomes. Consequently, the educational systems which prioritize the emotions of the learners might pave the way for improved learning outcomes of students. In the second place, an emotion-oriented system may be conducive to greater integrity in the course of learning . In fact, students are prone to becoming dejected in their studuying when achieving lower grades than expected. As a consequence, If the educational system values the reflection and integration of each students’ emotion into the curriculum, it can consolidate the students capabilities of overcoming adversities, anf tackling the properly.
To sum up,with the afore-mentioned reasons, I believe that both approach of educational systems have its own benefits and drawbacks. From my perspective, the educational system can be selected on account of the orientation of each student, whether they want to pursue a career relating natural subjects or social studies.
