Some students prefer to attend college by traveling away from their homes, while others move away from home to attend universities. In this essay, I will discuss the advantages of both preferences and conclude with my opinion.
Going to universities from home ensures safety and reduces stress levels. Living with parents limits a person’s freedom, creating a sense of continuous monitoring by elders and making the student more careful. Additionally, the student becomes more focused on studies and less likely to deviate from important tasks such as college assignments. Furthermore, they do not have to worry about household chores as those are typically handled by other students studying in different cities.
On the other hand, performing household chores instills a sense of responsibility, fostering independence. Everyone learns from their mistakes, and in the case of living away from parents, individuals tend to learn things more quickly, promoting individuality and self-reliance. For example, students living in dorms prepare their own meals, travel independently, and take care of housekeeping tasks, which helps them adapt to various situations.
In my opinion, living away from home is the best approach to overcome future challenges. When people live away from home and attend college from hostels in a different city, they interact with diverse individuals, take on new responsibilities, and develop independence. This experience prepares them for job opportunities and enables them to adapt easily to change. Therefore, living away from home in a different city during university always offers more benefits than staying with family.
