People’s opinions differ about whether teenagers learn good behavior more from movies and books or from realistic lessons instead. Personally, I lean toward the latter idea.
There is a major reason why youngsters should not learn from movies and books. Obviously, they are unreal and imaginary because they are often the products of authors’ imagination. Therefore, the contents from each book or films may be not true with our society, also the ways characters behave and deal with bad treatment may be different from what we do usually. Furthermore, nowadays, with the goals of earning as much as money as possible, film makers and authors tend to be finance- oriented. As a result, their products which include intensive fighting sense and characters with exceptional characteristics has been produced and spreaded widely, which may lead young readers to deviant beahvior instead of the initial purposes of allowing them to absorbing great aspects of life from these means of entertainment.
On the other hand, real- life experince is of anx appropriate way for adolescents to learn how to live. By communicating and chatting with real people and real circumstances, youngsters can easily feel and understand more about how bad behaviors affect people and their relationship through experimenting themselves. Understanding more about the implications of how they treat and how they are treated will help them to get rid of bad behaviors and attitudes towards other people, and consequently forcing them to act in a better way.
In conclusion, it is better for teenagers to learn communication skills and behaviors from realistic experience instead of from reading books or watching movies, since they, overall, are means of recreation, which are the products of people’s imagination, while a real-life experience can help them to test and absorb valuable means.
