Many young people nowadays acquire knowledge and insights primarily through media consumption, such as reading books or watching movies and TV shows, rather than through direct personal experience. I totally agree that the above statement is correct. So, my essay will elaborate on the facts and figures regarding information acquisition through different resources, along with some examples and evidence.
Well, I completely agree with the idea that young people acquire knowledge from books, whether fiction or nonfiction. For example, when a student is studying, he carries many books with different subjects like biology, physics, chemistry, etc. So, we have had this practice since our childhood, and this practice continues until we complete our degrees. Most youngsters are interested in various subjects like history, civilization, culture, religious studies, and books that contain moral stories and those that improve one’s behavior.
Moreover, different movies give us a chance to explore the world, especially things with which we are not surrounded. For example, the natural wonders all over the world contain significant features that we can see or experience in movies while staying in one place. Through movies, we learn about different cultures, values, history, cuisines, etc. There are also TV reality shows that offer a lot of knowledge; for example, morning shows teach us various home remedies that are good for skin and hair growth, and they also teach various delicious cooking recipes.
In conclusion, knowledge is power, and young people acquire knowledge by reading books according to their interests and by learning from movies and gaining experience from TV shows. I strongly believe that adolescents experience more amazing things from outside sources compared with their own personal experiences.
