In contemporary societies, non-traditional healthcare has gained significant trend among individuals seeking health solutions. People suffering from different ailments are inclined to consult alternative practitioners rather than approaching medical physicians. I firmly believe that, this shift represents an adverse development and describe some supporting arguments in this short text. Firstly, this pursuit undermines the critical role of rigorous medical education which is not a prerequisite for alternative practitioners. Secondly, this development obscures public health statistics due to the absence of proper patient records in non-traditional healthcare.

Bearing in mind that medical studies represent one of the most complex areas of education, it is not surprising that only the brightest students choose to pursue this field. A medical degree is awarded after a decade of rigorous academic study and practical training. Whereas, non-traditional healthcare practitioners do not require formal licensing, nor complete a comprehensive training. The alternative healthcare trainings, typically, comprise content related solely to ancient herbal treatment habits and practices. Any occasional success of these treatments in practice impairs the fundamental reputation of professional healthcare methods. In some cultures, the increasing scrutiny compelled many physicians to abandon their professional role in favor of practicing non-traditional health services.

From another perspective, alternative healthcare is operating as an unregulated system which is lacking proper documentation and patient records. Thus, no adequate diagnostic examinations of treated illnesses are conducted, no records of patient information are collected and incorporated into the public health systems, posing a significant risk to society. For instance, during COVID-19 pandemic, individuals receiving alternative treatments were not properly isolated, contributing to further transmission of the virus.

In conclusion, the practice that is operated without comprehensive education and managed without proper records should not undervalue a conventional health system, which is run by highly qualified professionals.

In this rapidly evolving era, there has been a significant increase in the number of individuals facing health issues. A study published in *Chicago Magazine* indicates that over the past decade, the number of individuals seeking medical assistance has risen by 30%. Experts attribute this surge to contemporary lifestyle factors, including reduced physical activity, unbalanced diets, indulgent food choices, and escalating mental health challenges. Consequently, these individuals are turning to alternative medicines and treatments rather than consulting their regular physicians. This essay will explore whether this emerging trend represents a positive or negative development.

On one hand, traditional allopathic treatment is evidence-based, widely accepted, comparatively safe, and tends to provide accurate cures for various ailments. However, over the long term, the chemicals prescribed in these treatments can have detrimental effects on the liver. Therefore, relying solely on these medications for chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, or thyroid disorders is not advisable. While they offer quick, significant, and effective relief, the long-term harm associated with their use cannot be overlooked. This has led many individuals to explore alternative options such as homeopathy, acupressure, Ayurveda, and naturopathy. These treatments primarily emphasize healing and addressing the root causes of illnesses rather than merely alleviating symptoms. Although their methodologies may lack rigorous scientific validation, they can yield effective, long-term benefits with comparatively fewer side effects. For example, Chinese cupping therapy has proven effective for pain relief, whereas conventional physicians often resort to prescribing painkillers that can lead to dependency or harmful side effects.

In conclusion, the growing inclination of individuals to depend on alternative therapies rooted in traditional practices and holistic approaches signifies a positive development. As people seek out treatments that prioritize natural healing and the underlying causes of their health issues, they may not only mitigate the side effects commonly associated with conventional medicines but also enhance their overall well-being. This shift towards alternative medicine reflects a broader understanding of health and wellness, promoting a more integrative approach to healthcare.
