Study of supplementary subjects along with the main subjects is equally important as their basic knowledge can help in daily life during work and also makes us strong when we encounter difficult situations. Some people argue that it is mandatory to focus all the time and attention to study for a qualification, which is really essential for building a bright future, but learning about additional subjects rejuvenates the minds of students leading to increased concentration, better attention span and enhanced efficiency.
Firstly, knowledge of subjects such as physical education, music and drama gives an opportunity to university pupils to showcase their talents, which increases their confidence, creativity, self esteem and makes them mentally
strong. For example, playing basketball helps the students to plan their studies by increasing belief in themselves which in turn results in goal directed strategies for achieving success. Moreover, playing a musical instrument helps them to relax so that they can perform better in their core subject, which is pursued by them to attain a qualification. Science students can take up Maths as an additional subject as learning about basic calculations helps us in everyday lives and makes us sharp and intelligent. Furthermore, grown up adults have to manage budget and all accounts so preliminary basic education about accounting will be beneficial as a university student, which can be taken forward to help in future.
On the contrary, some parents insist that their children must focus on their main subjects to achieve a qualification. According to them this results in better grasp of subject, which helps in achieving good grades that can help in getting superior jobs. For example, to become an Engineer student must work hard in their course subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Maths. For them to secure an engineering seat in a renowned college they must study hard and give their maximum efforts. Parents aspire for high salaried jobs for their children.
To conclude i hold my firm opinion regarding knowledge of supplementary subjects in addition to the course material for broadening the horizons of students and make them well educated, smart and honourable citizens of the society.
ollege is considered to be the most important stage for a students future, some university students think that learning about other subjects, in addition to their main subjects would give them more opportunities in the future. others disagree, believing that focusing on thier main courses guarantees thier qualification. in my oppinion, while exploring other subjects could broadens horizons focussing on the main coursis more benefecial. a student who learns a wide range of cuorses could have an advantage, exploring more subjects, and finding the most suitable cours, even postgraduate, studying additional subjects prepares students for the jobe market, finding a job could be much easier for someone with much more knowledge than the rigular student,in example an engineering student studying business managing, giving him more flexability in the future. On the other hand, students who prioitise thier main subject has a better chance of qualification. Putting all their time in one field will guarantee them a higher grades, and more experience than someone who is distributing their tasks. Putting them in a stronger position when finding a jobe at their specialization. For example an IT student focussing fully on IT will have much more value on the IT jobe market. THIS IS JUST INTRODUCTION*
Some students at universities want to add another subject to learn to their major subject. However, it is believed that it is crucial to concentrate on studying for qualification. Learning an additional subject may provide you with broader knowledge and has a positive impact in your life, I think that focusing on your own main subject is imperative, since your future depends on it.
